Reminder: we have our HOA meeting scheduled for this Saturday at 10 am. The meeting is being held at Montgomery Financial at 11022 Nicholas Ln Ocean Pines MD.
At this meeting, Bob Mitchell and John Ross from Worcester County and John Salm from JW Salm Engineering will go over our water options for county water and they can answer questions about our current water situation as well as our future with county water or not. I strongly recommend attending this meeting and being open minded to the petition for county water. By signing the petition you are under NO OBLIGATION. The petition simply gives the county our support so they can move forward with applying for grants and putting together the final proposal for everyone to review. This is at no cost to us and we can still decline or accept their final proposal. Although I'm not 100% in favor of county water, I will be signing the petition. In my opinion, we currently have the attention of the county and MDE. Because of the recent water issues we have a fair shot at getting grants and/or funding to help with this project. Since we are under no obligation and there is no cost to the community by signing the petition. We absolutely should give them a chance to show us what they can put together for us. In addition, if we do not move forward we will have additional expenses to maintain and file for the proper discharge permits for our existing system. John Salm can provide additional info and answer questions about these expenses. I hope everyone is able to make the meeting and I'm available by phone anytime for questions.
